Privacy Policy for Love

Effective Date: 2026-10-25

App: Love (Lovely Quotes), net.golbarg.love, version 2.0

Publisher: Golbarg (golbarg.net)

Contact: contact@golbarg.net

Summary. Love does not ask who you are. There is no account and no sign-in, and the quotes you download and save stay on your phone. Love is free and shows ads through Google AdMob; AdMob collects some device data to show and measure those ads, as section 3 explains.

  1. 1. What the app keeps on your phone

    To work offline, the app stores these on your device only:

    • the pages of quotes you have downloaded;
    • the quotes you have saved;
    • the number of the page you read last;
    • your settings: the app language, the theme and the style you last chose for quote images, and whether you have seen the first-run intro;
    • your download credit balance, used while the app shows ads.

    If you tap Save to gallery on a quote image, the image is saved to your phone's Pictures/Love folder, where your gallery app can show it. It stays there until you delete it.

    This information is never sent to us or to anyone else. You can delete saved quotes in the app, and you can remove everything by clearing the app's data in your phone's settings or uninstalling the app.

  2. 2. What reaches our server

    To show the list of pages and to download a page, the app requests quotes from our server, portal.golbarg.net. These requests contain no personal information: no name, no email, no phone number and no account or device identifier.

    Like any website, the server receives the technical details every internet request carries: your IP address, the time of the request, and the address requested. We use these only to deliver the quotes, keep the service secure and limit excessive requests. They may appear in server logs, which are kept for 30 days and then deleted. We do not use them to identify you, build a profile or track you, and we do not sell or share them.

    All communication between the app and the server is encrypted (HTTPS).

  3. 3. Advertising

    Love is free because it shows ads: banners on the home and saved screens, an ad between quotes in a page and between cards, a full-screen ad now and then after you save a quote, and optional rewarded ads you can watch to earn download credit. The ads are served by Google AdMob, a Google service.

    To choose, show and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, the AdMob software in the app collects and sends to Google:

    • your device's advertising ID;
    • your IP address, from which an approximate location can be inferred;
    • device and app information, such as the phone model, Android version, language and app version;
    • how you interact with the ads (views and taps), and diagnostic data about the ads.

    Google uses this data under its own policies: How Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. Love itself does not receive this data, and we do not sell any data.

    You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your phone's settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on your phone). You will then see ads that are not based on your interests.

    Love contains no analytics or crash-reporting service of its own.

  4. 4. Sharing a quote

    When you share a quote, as text or as an image, Android shows its share sheet and you choose an app, such as a messaging app. The quote (or the image of it) goes to the app you choose, and that app's own privacy policy then applies. Love does not see whom you share with.

  5. 5. Permissions

    Love uses internet access to download quotes, and checks whether your phone is connected so it can show your downloaded pages when you are offline. On Android 9 only, saving a quote image to your gallery asks for permission to write to your phone's storage; newer Android versions need no permission for this. Love never reads your photos or files, and does not access your contacts, location, camera or microphone.

  6. 6. Google Play

    Love is distributed through Google Play. Google may collect information about the installation and app performance under its own privacy policy, independently of Love.

  7. 7. Children

    Love is not directed at children under 13, and its ads are not meant for children. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to use the app.

  8. 8. Your choices and rights

    Love has no account or profile to access or delete. Everything the app stores is on your phone and under your control (section 1). For ads, you can reset your advertising ID or turn off personalised ads at any time (section 3); data Google holds is managed through your Google account and Google's own tools. If you have a question about the technical data our server receives (section 2), or want to exercise a right under the data-protection law that applies to you, write to contact@golbarg.net.

  9. 9. Changes to this policy

    If we change this policy, we will publish the new version at this address and update the effective date above. Material changes will also be announced in the app's release notes.
